About the role
We are accepting applications from wedding videographers in greater Austin. Applicants here are contacted first when our companies begin booking weddings in this market. Film full wedding days from preparation to send-off and capture the audio, coverage and moments our editors need for a cinematic film.
Weddings in the Austin area run year-round, with the busiest calendar in March–May and October–November. Summer heat pushes most couples to spring and fall, with plenty of winter weekends too. Our venue data covers 90 wedding venues across 8 cities in this market.
What you'll do
- Film preparation, first look, ceremony, portraits and reception, typically 6 to 10 hours
- Capture ceremony vows and speeches with lavalier and recorder backups
- Run a stabilized main angle plus detail and guest coverage
- Coordinate with planners, photographers and venue staff on the day
- Upload and organize footage within 48 hours using our delivery system
What you bring
- At least two seasons filming weddings or live events, with a portfolio to show
- A professional cinema or mirrorless kit with a backup body, stabilizer and audio
- Reliable transportation within about 60 miles of your home market
- A calm, professional presence with couples and families
