This Privacy Policy explains how Danbren Media LLC ("Danbren Media," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our websites, request information, book our services, or otherwise interact with us. It applies to danbrenmedia.com and to the websites we operate under our brand names, including Atavia Weddings (ataviaweddings.com) and Elizabeth Scott Weddings (elizabethscottweddings.com). By using our websites or services, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you inquire, book, sign an agreement, or contact us, we collect what you provide: your name and your partner's name, email address, phone number, mailing and billing address, event date, venues, guest count, event timeline, questionnaire answers, and any messages you send us.

Payment information. When you book, your card or bank details are entered directly into a secure form or window provided by our payment processor. We receive only a payment token, the card brand, the last four digits, and the billing name and address. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank account number.

Signature information. When you sign a Service Agreement electronically, our e-signature provider records your signature, the time you signed, and your IP address as part of the signed document's audit trail.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours collect standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the date and time of your visit. We collect this through server logs, cookies, and analytics tools described in Section 5.

Photographs and video. If you book us, we create photographs and video of you and your guests. These are covered by your Service Agreement and by Section 7 below.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:
• respond to inquiries and provide quotes
• create, send, and store your Service Agreement
• process payments, refunds, and gratuities, and to charge the payment method you authorized on the schedule in your agreement
• plan and deliver your event coverage, including sharing timelines with our team members and second shooters
• deliver your gallery or films and communicate with you about them
• send booking confirmations, reminders, questionnaires, receipts, and other service messages
• send occasional marketing emails, which you can opt out of at any time
• operate, secure, and improve our websites and services
• comply with law, enforce our agreements, and prevent fraud, chargebacks, and abuse

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

Service providers who help us run the business, under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing services to us. These currently include:

• payment processors (for example Zoho Payments) to process card and bank payments and store payment methods securely
• an e-signature provider (SignWell) to send and record your Service Agreement
• email and messaging services (for example Resend) to send service emails and reminders
• cloud hosting and database providers (Google Cloud / Firebase, Cloudflare) that host our websites, booking systems, and stored records
• gallery and file-delivery platforms used to deliver your images and films
• website analytics providers (Section 5)

Our team. Photographers, videographers, second shooters, and editors who work your event receive the event details they need to do their job.

Your vendors. With your consent, or where your agreement provides for it, we may share images with your venue or other vendors for their portfolios.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order; to enforce our agreements and Terms of Service; to respond to a payment dispute or chargeback with evidence of your booking and authorization; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Danbren Media, our clients, or others.

Business transfers. If Danbren Media or one of its brands is sold or merged, client records may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

4. Payment data and security

Payments are handled by PCI-DSS compliant processors. Card data is tokenized by the processor at the moment you enter it; our servers store only the token and non-sensitive card details described in Section 1. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) across our websites, restrict access to client records to people who need it, and store data with providers that maintain industry-standard security controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.

5. Cookies and analytics

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies for a few purposes: keeping the booking form working, remembering which page or venue referred you to us (so we can see which of our pages lead to bookings), and analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our sites; Google may set its own cookies and collect information according to Google's privacy policy. You can disable cookies in your browser settings and can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Our websites do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies and do not track you across other companies' websites.

6. Email and marketing

We send service emails related to your booking (confirmations, reminders, questionnaires, receipts, gallery delivery) as part of providing our services; you cannot opt out of these while you have an active booking. We may also send occasional marketing emails about our services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out by emailing info@danbrenmedia.com.

7. Photographs and video of you and your guests

We own the copyright in the photographs and video we create. Your Service Agreement grants you a license to use your images and, unless you opt out in writing, allows us to use images from your event in our portfolio, websites, social media, and marketing. If you would prefer that we not publish images from your event, tell us in writing before the event or in your agreement and we will honor it. If a guest asks us to remove a published image in which they appear, we will consider the request in good faith.

8. Data retention

We keep booking records, signed agreements, invoices, and payment records for at least seven years after your event to meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations and to respond to any payment dispute. We keep delivered galleries and files for the period stated in your agreement, after which they may be deleted; please download and back up your files when they are delivered. Inquiry information from people who do not book is generally deleted within two years. Website log data is kept for a shorter period unless needed for security.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of marketing. You can exercise these rights by emailing info@danbrenmedia.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Colorado residents. Under the Colorado Privacy Act you have the rights described above, including the right to opt out of the sale of personal data and of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response with the word "Appeal" in the subject line.

California and other U.S. states. If your state's privacy law grants you additional rights, we will honor them on request. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Note that we may be required to keep certain records (for example, signed agreements and payment records) even after a deletion request, and that images you have licensed for publication may already be in our portfolio.

10. Children

Our services and websites are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, other than images of guests captured incidentally at events we are hired to cover. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Links to other sites

Our websites link to venues, vendors, payment processors, e-signature providers, and gallery platforms. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy does not cover them.

12. International visitors

Our services are provided in the United States and our data is stored in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be posted on our websites, and we may notify active clients by email.
